The Jeep Compass offers an efficient range of new powertrains including Hybrid and Plug-In Hybrid.

Featuring a new front lower facia, new LED headlights and a totally new interior offering fully refreshed style, improved quality and over double the storage availability of the previous model. Interior

A captivating new interior serves to provide improved on-board and off-board connectivity with the brand new 10.1" Uconnect wireless infotainment system, plus 10.25" colour TFT cluster display.

New Powertrains

New Compass debuts all new engines with an e-Hybrid 48V mild hybrid, and the 1.3 T4 240hp 4XE Plug-In Hybrid, which maximizes fuel-efficiency, ensures lower CO2 emissions and outstanding performance.

The driving dynamics and handling are enhanced with new tuning of the steering system, aimed at improving its lightness and progressiveness, and targeted interventions on the suspension system. These include the addition of shock absorbers with FSD (Frequency Selective Damping) valves, to limit movements in the vehicle's body, without affecting comfort in tackling rough roads. The new compass offers more precision when cornering at high speed, ensuring less roll and pitch, and more braking stability.

E-HYBRID

The new Compass E-Hybrid features an advanced hybrid system featuring a new 4-cylinder 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, which delivers 130hp and 240Nm of peak torque, coupled with a new 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The propulsion system includes a built-in 48 volt 15kW (20hp) electric motor delivering 55Nm of torque, equivalent to 135Nm at gearbox input level, which can propel the wheels even when the internal combustion engine is turned off. The new versions offer up to 15 per cent lower consumption and CO2 emissions than the standard petrol models. 

Courtesy of the new propulsion system, the hybrid models deliver a versatile and relaxing driving experience, with various features allowing the vehicle to move in electric mode. These include:

• Silent Start: starts the vehicle with no need to turn on the petrol engine, by using a pure-electric, silent driving mode;
• Energy Recovery: recovers energy that would otherwise be wasted when the vehicle decelerates (e-Coasting) and during braking (Regenerative Braking);
• Boost & Load Point Shift: ‘e-Boosting’ allows an increase in torque to the wheels thanks to the electric motor that supports the petrol engine; moreover, by taking advantage of the (drive or braking) torque delivered by the electric motor, it is possible to optimise the operating point of the petrol engine;
• Electric Drive: the vehicle can travel in silence and with zero emissions using only the electric motor, while the petrol engine is turned off.

4XE PLUG-IN HYBRID

Jeep reinvents all-wheel drive, combining 4x4 traction with electric propulsion. Performance is increased again while reducing fuel consumption and emissions.

Choose the driving mode that suits you. Hybrid uses both engines, Electric uses only the electric motor, E-Save keeps the battery charged by increasing the effectiveness of autonomous charging systems.

With combined power of up to 240hp, the Compass 4XE can achieve acceleration from 0-62mph in 7.3 seconds. And with 4x4 capability, the Compass can drive up to 30 miles in full electric.

New Advanced Safety Features

Driver and passenger safety are at the forefront of the new Jeep Compass, which offers a full array of active and passive safety and security features for everyday driving, including Forward Collision Warning and LaneSense Departure Warning, both standard across the whole range, alongside Electronic Stability Control (ESC) with Electronic Roll Mitigation (ERM), and front, side and curtain airbags. Available safety features include Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Path Detection, Adaptive Cruise Control, ParkView rear backup camera with dynamic gridlines, and Automated Parallel and Perpendicular Park assist.
